On a less positive note, our contractors, landscapers, and board members noticed that harmful vandalism has been taking place at the gazebo during our repairs assessment. Trash, graffiti, and physical damage to the wooden railing, lights, and outlets will be costly to repair. Some of the graffiti has been carved into the paint on the brick posts which will require repainting. There has been severe damage to the wooden railing where the baluster rods were forcefully kicked out and piled up to be burned by vandals. As part of the renovation, we have decided to remove the wooden railings to clean up the area and reduce on-going maintenance costs. In the midst of budgeting for the repair costs, this unnecessary vandalism has added expenses. If you see someone damaging the structure, please report them to the police.
