Items of Discussion
- Updates and Discussion about Bids for all projects (see below).
- Review of second month’s compliance notification letters
- Discussion of escalating fines or repercussions if violations are not corrected. The board has voted to create an increased fine schedule for boats, trailers, camper, recreational vehicles (RV’s), school buses, trucks exceeding ¾ tons, or commercial trucks that can be seen from the street. The board will discuss how much to raise the fines and will release a statement in another post. Fines are levied to encourage compliance, not as a source of income. The path to compliance should be the one of least resistance. We aim to adjust our non-compliance fees accordingly.
- HOA Management Transition Progress
- Accounting Service – Is accounting for all assessment payments, getting us ready for taxes, and helping to balance the budget.
- CC&R Compliance – We now have a monthly scan for violations in the neighborhood. To make sure your home is compliant, please read the <a href=”https://savannahhoa.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/SPHOA-CCRs-searchable.pdf”>CC&Rs</a>
- Mail Processing Service – This service scans all mail that goes to the PO Box and deposits mailed check payments to the bank.
- Phone Service – This service turns voicemail into texts so that we can respond to residents via email in a timely manner.
Projects in Progress
- Lighting for Mailboxes – The clips for mounting the solar panels did not come in and are on backorder. As soon as the contractor receives them, they will mount the lights on the mailboxes.
- Front Sign Rejuvenation – We are actively soliciting bids for repainting, crack sealing, and pressure washing of the front sign.
- Front Landscaping Improvements – We are coordinating with the landscapers to plant hardy, blooming flowers at the front to restore the original beauty of the Savannah Place entrance.
- Gazebo Renovation – Renovation bids received and discussed. Remove railing from Gazebo, repair roof, and pressure wash paths – VOTE APPROVED
- Landscaping Additional Trimming – A board member will be meeting with a licensed arborist on 3/17 to obtain pricing for various trimming around the Savannah Place circle and the neighborhood abroad. We are working for quick approval by the board to get this trimming completed quickly.
