What does the HOA do?

The purpose of the Savannah Place Home Owners’ Association is to maintain and improve the value of your home in Savannah Place. We do this by maintaining the common areas, planning community improvements, and creating community events. We promote compliance with the covenant guidelines to create a safe, respectful, and beautiful neighborhood.

What is the HOA?

We are a group of seven volunteers in the community who share a passion for keeping our community beautiful for years to come. We are all homeowners in Savannah Place, current on our HOA dues, and do not receive compensation for our work. We meet regularly to discuss important neighborhood issues, plan events, and manage community expenses. If you are interested in becoming a part of a committee or helping with events, please contact us.

HOA Board

President – Chris Martin

Presides at all meetings of the shareholders and directors. Has general and active management of the business of the corporation.

Secretary – Lee Jeter

Gives notice of and attends all meetings of the Board of Directors and all meetings of the shareholders. Keeps minutes of all proceedings and records of all votes.

Treasurer - Chris Martin

Responsible for all funds of the Corporation and of its disbursements under the direction of the Board of Directors and shall keep records of all receipts and disbursements.

Member Duties

City Liaison – Contacts the city for issues in our community, including sewers, road maintenance, and street lights. They report issues, initiate city action, and followup to make sure issues are resolved.

Contractor Liaison –  Manages contractors for HOA-controlled portions of our neighborhood. This covers landscaping, maintenance, and community projects.

Community Event Planner – Plans events, books vendors, and operates within our HOA budget for community events. This member puts a committee together, manage vendors, stays within the event budget, and oversees the operation of each event.

Community Outreach Coordinator – Communicates with the Savannah Place community as a whole to update about projects, events, and community issues. This includes an email newsletter and updating the HOA website.

How It Works

Your Home Owners’ Association dues provide the necessary funds needed for maintaining common areas and funding community events.

The HOA follows the covenant guidelines to maintain a safe, respectful, and beautiful neighborhood.

Common Area Maintenance

The HOA maintains mowing, edging, landscaping, irrigation, and pest control for all common areas owned by the association throughout the neighborhood.

Neighborhood Events

The HOA hosts events that bring the community together, from crawfish boils to movies under the stars. 

Community Improvements

The HOA works with contractors to develop community improvements such as covered mailboxes, outdoor grilling areas, and recreation facilities.

About Your Dues

Our HOA dues are due January and July and are $94.50 or $189/year as of 2025.

Mailbox keys and replacements are handled by USPS.

HOA dues include the management company and the landscaping of community areas. If the budget allows, we have also done community events or special projects.

 

Total Fines Due from Date of Notice

0 days - Warning
30 days - 2nd Warning
60 days - $50 Fine
+$75/mo thereafter until issue is remedied.

A lien will be placed on the home if fines are not paid.

The areas that are NOT maintained are in Red and Blue. The median off of Curtis Loop at the front of Savannah Place is owned by the City of Bossier.
